zMotif ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use the zMotif application and website.

  • Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account
  • Check-in data: Energy levels, text entries, people tags, and activity tags you log
  • End-of-day entries: Your responses to daily reflection prompts
  • Birth data: Date, time, and location of birth (Premium only, for natal chart calculations)

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Usage data: Feature usage patterns, session duration, and interaction data
  • Approximate location: City-level location category (Home/Work/Transit/Other) — never GPS coordinates

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the zMotif service
  • Generate personalized pattern insights and recommendations
  • Send optional notification reminders (user-configurable)
  • Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage trends to improve the product

We never use your data for:

  • Advertising or ad targeting
  • Selling to third parties
  • Training AI models outside your personal account

Data Security

  • End-to-end encryption for all personal entries
  • On-device processing for sensitive pattern analysis
  • Regular security audits by independent third parties
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance (in progress)

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your data is retained as long as your account is active
  • You can export all your data at any time
  • Account deletion permanently removes all data from our servers
  • No hidden backups or 30-day waiting periods
